img_7421How You Bring Warmth to Our Families

Western New York has always been considered a community rich with good neighbors. Your commitment of time and dedication is a shining example of this. Our volunteers consist of high school students, friends, groups, associations, companies and everyone in between. Last year our volunteers contributed over 15,000 hours of service to help our families. Each hour you spend with us gives our families the extra warmth and caring when they need it the most. Your smiles, dedication and compassion are the cornerstone of RMHC of WNY.

Because of you, our families have the comfort of home while everything important in their lives is so unsettled. Last year our Cooks for Kids volunteer groups prepared meals 360 days of the year. That’s over 7,000 meals for our guest families! Our families often remark that nothing rejuvenates like a good meal, especially after long, exhausting days in the hospital.

Our On-the-Go chefs and bakers make sure that a little bit of home is readily available to our families. Families spending those long days at the hospital often comment that they would be lost without the relief they get from those special treats.

Your generous donations of mugs, crockpots, griddles, kettles, pots, pans and bakeware add the special touches to the heart of our home.

Last year, over 400 Grab & Go Bags were assembled for our guest families. Because of you, there was seldom a day when our families did not have an assortment to choose from. The variety of goodies and the wonderful decorations on each bag were a testament to your creatively and love. Families always commented on how they helped to brighten the long days spent at the hospital.

The need for in-kind donations is tremendous at Ronald McDonald House. Keeping our House fully stocked depends on the help of our community. Your donations of K-cups, snacks, bottled water, paper towels, hot chocolate, gift cards and more, throughout the year helped to make sure our families had everything they need.

In-kind donations to the House dramatically reduce our operating expenses and allow us to allocate that savings to other pressing expenditures such as keeping our House staffed 24/7/365-days each year. Because of you, every minute of every day our guest families have a staff member here for them. While they are at the House, they are never alone.
