About RMHC of WNY
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York (RMHC of WNY) is a local chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) Corporation, which finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
RMHC of WNY is a separate 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization operated by a local volunteer board of directors.
RMHC of WNY is responsible for its own fundraising and program priorities, and is 100% funded by generous donations from the local Western New York community.
Our cornerstone, the Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo, opened in 1983.
The Buffalo Ronald McDonald House provides comfort and support, keeping families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals, close.
RMHC of WNY is very excited to announce that in Novemeber 2017 new Hospital Programs will be launched within the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital that will directly benefit the families of seriously ill or injured children. Our Hospital Programs extend our mission into the local community serving families from near and far.
Financial support for these programs will come from the local McDonald’s Owners/Operators of WNY and North West Pennsylvania Canister Collection Program, and our WNY community.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York is a community supported organization dedicated to children and their families by:
- “Keeping families close” by providing lodging and emotional support for families of children receiving medical treatment in Buffalo.
- Reaching out to our community by supporting programs that benefit children.
We believe that when you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community, and ultimately the world.
We strive to be part of that change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their most difficult or challenging times.
