The Young Professionals Group
We support the children, families, staff, volunteers and donors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York. We engage, empower, and inspire young professionals to participate in philanthropic and leadership endeavors and build awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York.
Who We Are
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY’s Young Professionals (RMHC YP) is a group of philanthropic individuals with a collective goal of attracting members to broaden the volunteer base of the RMHC, organize awareness-building and fundraising events and have some fun while doing it!
We support the mission and initiatives of the RMHC of WNY. Our role is to energize a new generation of volunteers while providing an opportunity for young professionals in the WNY community to develop philanthropic leadership skills.
What We Do
Giving back is what the Young Professionals are all about! Giving of time, inspiration and creativity all with the end goal of helping RMHC of WNY provide a “home away from home” for seriously ill children and their families. Our group offers various ways to become involved and our members make a positive impact on the lives of others to become leaders in our community.
Some of our events include hosting fundraising and awareness events such as a Bisons game at Coca-Cola Field, “Happy Hour with a Purpose”, help provide meals for families staying at the House through the “Cooks for Kids” program and volunteer at the annual 5K Run / Walk.
