31 Jan Bob Schatz Appointed New House Manager
Dear friends,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the hire of Bob Schatz as the new House Manager. Bob comes to us from Diversified Maintenance Systems, where he held the position of Project Manager Northeast Division. For our Bills fans out there, Bob previously spent 30 years with the Buffalo Bills where he held a myriad of front office positions, the last 16 where he held the position of Assistant Director of Stadium Operations!
“Bob brings extensive experience in multiple facets of Operations Management including facilities management, event management, vendor relations and customer service,” said Marianne Hoover, Executive Director of RMHC of WNY. “His expertise will be a tremendous asset to our organization. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
Bob is responsible for house operations including facilities management and the supervision of the front of the House staff and volunteer engagement. Bob will be teaming with Alex Gugliuzza, Guest Services Manager, for guest relations, and house programs and services.
“I’ve spent my entire career on the corporate side of business,” says Bob. “As a Buffalo native, I wanted to finish my career with a job where I could pay it forward and give back to the community where I live. I was familiar with the Buffalo House from my Buffalo Bills days and always viewed RMHC of WNY as a stellar charity with a rich history of helping families stay together. When I found the post for the House Manager position, I was really excited. I believed this would be the perfect next step in my career where I could combine my experience and my desire to help others. Being a member of the RMHC of WNY team is invigorating!”
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Brockport. He has volunteered with many local nonprofit organizations including the United Way Toy Shop and Camp Good Days and Special Times.
Bob is an avid golfer and also plays in a local recreational basketball league. Bob is married and has two grown boys.
Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome to Bob!
