A place that feels like home…
Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY, Inc. (RMHC of WNY) is part of a global network of Ronald McDonald Houses and programs that serve nearly 6 million children and families annually. Since 1974, our network of local chapters has been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together and giving them a place to rest and heal. Tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, these programs can now be found in more than 64 countries and regions across the globe.
We believe when families are together, they cope better. We believe no family should have to deal with their child’s medical crisis alone.
Mission
The mission of RMHC of WNY is to create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. The programs and services offered keep families with sick/injured children together and near the care and resources they need.
Vision
We believe that when you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community, and ultimately the world.
We strive to be part of that change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their most difficult or challenging times.

Compassionate hospitality is one of our core values. At RMHC of WNY, compassionate hospitality is embodied in genuine warmth and a welcoming, understanding and supportive spirit. It is our signature. It is who we strive to always be.
The Buffalo House
We believe that “home” is more than four walls and a roof over your head. The Buffalo Ronald McDonald House is a safe haven that provides all the comforts of home, plus the compassion and hospitality of staff, volunteers, and other families — all just minutes away from the hospital.
Hospital Programs
Our Hospital Programs bring our Ronald McDonald House signature hospitality to John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital enabling families to experience some restorative time for themselves without having to step too far away from their child’s bedside.
Our McDonald’s Relationship
The ongoing support of our the McDonald’s Owner/Operators of Western New York provide vital support for our families by spearheading promotional and fundraising events on our behalf.

RMHC of WNY is supported by an outstanding volunteer Board of Directors and local community professional committee members.
Young Professionals
Our group of young professionals is dedicated to spreading awareness, gaining volunteers and raising funds in association with RMHC of WNY to benefit the family members and loved ones of children in need.
Accountability
RMHC is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 509(a) and has 501(c)(3) status.
