Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY (RMHC of WNY) is seeking an Executive Director.

Established in 1983, RMHC of WNY provides lodging, nutrition, transportation, comfort, hope and resources to families with sick/injured children receiving medical care in Buffalo, NY.

The Executive Director will be a visionary and results oriented leader, who will be responsible for the overall management and operation of RMHC of WNY, Inc. and all associated operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible to the Board for carrying out established policy, direction and supervision of the organization’s programs, associates and fundraising efforts. Additionally, the Executive Director will serve as the liaison between the Board and staff, represent the organization and its programs to the public, and oversee and administer the fiscal, educational, and service components of RMHC of WNY, Inc.

The ideal candidate will have proven senior leadership experience and will support all employees and volunteers, including recruitment, supervision and evaluation. In addition to overseeing all Ronald McDonald House operations, the Executive Director will oversee the Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald House Hospitality Cart programs.

Required competencies include: demonstrated senior leadership orientation, business acumen, strategic thinking, organization, presentation skills, motivation of others, diplomacy, decision-making skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a team player and share the agency’s vision…When you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community, and ultimately the world.

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of non-profit senior leadership experience is required. This includes demonstrated success in administration, supervision, and development/fundraising.
