Celebrating 40 years of
supporting families!
On December 8, 2023, Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY celebrated its 40th Anniversary!
We launched this milestone year on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with The Ruby Jubilee, a fundraising gala at the Powerhouse.
Since opening its doors in 1983, the Buffalo Ronald McDonald House has welcomed more than 21,500 families from New York, surrounding states, and outside the USA. It provides them with safe, comfortable lodging while their child receives medical treatment in Buffalo. Families also benefit from our hospital programs—the Ronald McDonald Family Room and our Ronald McDonald Hospitality Carts.
We have an exciting year ahead as we celebrate four decades of supporting caregivers!
Our Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo will become fully accessible, allowing all children and their caregivers to stay there, no matter their mobility limitations. This includes adding a ramp to allow people to enter through the front door, installing a new three-stop elevator, and more!
The mission of RMHC of WNY is to create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. The programs and services offered keep families with sick/injured children together and near the care and resources they need.
